... from Mevagissey
and one of Cornwall’s most accomplished and entertaining choirs.
Sadly, COVID-19 has put paid to our weekly practices as of 16th March – and is threatening our schedule of concerts. We have already been forced to cancel our joint concert with Tamar Valley MVC at St Bartholomew’s Lostwithiel on Saturday 4th April, our planned appearance at the Roseland Festival on Saturday 2nd May at the Portscatho Memorial Hall, and our concert at St Allen’s Church, Truro, on Saturday 30th May.
And now we hear that the annual Mevagissey Feast Week has been cancelled, putting paid to our concert on Monday 29th June.
Late Summer and Autumn Events
Looking further ahead, we hope business will have resumed as normal by August, when we will expect to be on the quayside every Monday.
Then, on Saturday 27th September 2020, we will be at the Eden Project when, as ‘a choir with a proven track record of excellence’, we will be taking part in an exciting new Cornish choral event with an ecological message – ‘our love for our beautiful home.’
And, of course, many of our members are still expecting to join with many other choirs from Cornwall on 17th October to sing at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. If you want to know more, or travel with us to see the concert, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com or (Click for poster)
A month earlier, on the weekend of 26th and 27th September 2020, we will be at the Eden Project when, as ‘a choir with a proven track record of excellence’, we will be taking part in an exciting new Cornish choral event with an ecological message – ‘our love for our beautiful home.’

If you can’t get to one of our events, come in and listen to us practising at St Andrews on a Monday evening, once things are back to normal. If this is not an option either, you can still enjoy our singing by listening to any one of our six CDs, which you can order here.
Our Choir has come a long way since its 1974 foundation, and we like to think it has developed a distinct personality of its own. Conscious of the need to keep our music fresh, and our audiences entertained, we have developed an imaginative, up to date, and varied repertoire, ranging from Bizet and Puccini to Eric Clapton, Robbie Williams, Electric Light Orchestra, Carly Simon and other favourites from the ‘60s onwards. It has proved very popular and we hope you like it.
